the missing gold coin
One cold rainy day when Sally was reading a book in the living room, she heard a strange noise coming from the attic. She lived with her parents, but they were not at home that day so Sally thought "maybe it is a little mouse." However, the noise became louder and louder than she was baffled and thought "maybe there are more than one mouse." then she immediately called her friend William to give her a hand.
When William came to Sally's house, he says "I'm all ears" and she explained it all. Consequently, they went to the attic in order to investigate the cause of the noise but this time it was in the kitchen and when they entered they realize there was a mess and many gold coins on the floor. Suddenly, William saw something that made him stunned. It was an elf and he was crying him heart out.
As soon as the elf stopped crying, Sally and William, still surprised, asked him why he was crying so much. The little elf told them that he had lost a gold coin and if he did not get it back soon, he would lose his magical powers forever. Sorry the situation of the little elf, Sally and William saw eye to eye to help him to find the gold coin. Keep your chin up said Sally, all together we will find it.
Several hours passed and the gold coin did not appear, when suddenly William shouted "I found it". Everybody was so cheerful, the little elf thanked them and asked them not to tell anyone that they had seen him, therefore, Sally and William said "our lips are sealed." Finally, he said goodbye and presented them with a four-leaf clover saying break a leg!

I really enjoyed reading your post, because I don't even imagine that the meaning of these idioms. I think it's incredible how people has adapt and change the language showing us that language is something that we cannot put between rules and say that there is just one right way to speak it. Thank you for letting me learn is such a pleasant way!
